Aged Care Volunteer Visitors are needed to change the lives of people living in Residential Aged Care. Spend time with residents one on one to build friendships and help out in a range of different activities to suit your interests. In this particular role, a lovely gentleman would love the company of a volunteer visitor to play games of chess and engage in friendly chats.

Miss having a yarn with your grandparents? Learn from those wiser, and volunteer to visit the young at heart and keep them connected to the communities they love. Befriend and spend quality time with a lonely senior in the local community. No doubt you’ll develop a soft spot for adorable seniors and be able to simultaneously brighten their day!

Within this volunteer role, you will engage with residents who prefer non-group engagement and have minimal visitor interactions or may benefit from individual support in a group dynamic. Engagement visits can involve general conversation, playing cards, scrabble, playing music etc. The engagement is aligned with the interest preferences of the resident. Volunteers will be matched to residents for continuity and opportunity to develop relationships and rewarding connections.

To bring joy and social connection to an older person by visiting them in their own homes - in and around the Inner West. You may be able go for a short walk together, go to a cafe or stay indoors for a cuppa and a chat. Approximately an hour a week or fortnight at a time to suit both of you.
