Our nursery is wholly supported by the community and the volunteers who share their time to assist in planting, propagating and collecting seeds.

In South East Queensland they can be found from October - March on intertidal mud/sandflats as well as mangrove swamps and estuaries.

Caring for Endangered Casuarinas

Join CVA as we work with Greening Australia to water a planting of a threatened species of Casuarina that is being established at Coolum. The goal of this project is to provide follow up care to ensure that the planted saplings establish as mature plants. Volunteers will also be collecting soil moisture data and recording sapling survival rates and observations.

Currumbin Sanctuary - Park Volunteer (Guest Relations)
