Who are we:

Landcare NSW Limited is the peak body for community Landcare in NSW.

The organisation is a company limited by guarantee and governed by an independent board composed of between seven and ten Directors, elected by Landcare NSW member groups and appointed by the Board Nominations Committee for three-year terms.

What to expect:

There are typically six to eight board meetings plus committee meetings each year. A combination of in-person and online meetings will be held. Directors are not currently remunerated; however, all reasonable out-of-pocket travel costs will be covered for in-person events.

The Board overseas the strategic direction and provides executive direction for the organisation.
We hope this role will support developing and maintaining relationships, processes, and protocols that lead to increasing engagement between Aboriginal people and Landcare NSW to increase cultural awareness and identify opportunities to further engage with Aboriginal peoples and organisations.

Process:

All candidates are vetted by the Nominations Committee, which is comprised of Board Directors and supported by members of the State Advisory Council. This process includes submission of a formal EOI application, interview with the Vice Chair and Committee members, conflict of interest declaration, probity checks and referee (professional and personal) checks.
