Dungog & District Neighbourcare is a not-for-profit organisation that provides practical home living services that promote choice, lifestyle, and independence. Neighbourcare is the local service provider for Community Transport. Volunteers use Neighbourcare’s fleet of well-maintained, branded vehicles to transport clients to attend shopping and/or appointments.

Game on!! As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll be helping residents enjoy a variety of games - Dominoes, Chess, Chinese checkers, Scrabble, dominoes, card games just to name a few. Come along and prepare to be challenged as you volunteer your time at HammondCare Scone. You'll be helping to reduce social isolation.

Lets get crafting! Share your love of arts and crafts with residents at HammondCare Aged Care Home in Daw Park. Show off your creative and artistic skills as you assist people to create their own pieces, we have a huge range of resources available on site to access in this role.

Toot toot, beep beep! Accompany residents from HammondCare Scone as they enjoy short outings around Scone in our mini-bus. You will be accompanied with a mini-bus driver and care staff who will look after the resident's personal care needs.

Bring your pet along to our residential care home to meet residents in care, they will enjoy patting and chatting with you about your treasured companion. See what a difference your furry friend can make!

BINGO!!! Let your voice and love of bingo shine as you volunteer at HammondCare Scone with residents who may be frail and elderly. You'll find it very rewarding as you call the games and watch as residents enjoy a popular past time.

Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team! The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Scone. From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too. 

Beauty parlour and pamper session at Scone Residential Care! As you visit and spend time with the elderly residents in our Aged Care Home in Scone, you'll pamper people by providing a gentle hand massage or nail care, such as filing or nail polish (no cutting).

A trishaw volunteer will gather interested residents and take them on a gentle bike ride around their local community. You'll be helping older residents in care to maintain their mobility as well as their health and wellbeing - and have fun!

Come and stretch out the week with music and movement! Chair exercise group volunteers bring the energy of a fitness workout but guide people with gentle movements, as participants are sitting comfortably in a chair. Perhaps you have a background in fitness, dance, yoga, physio, Pilates or just love to dance and you'd like to lead a small group. You'll be helping older residents in care to maintain their mobility as well as their healthy wellbeing - and have fun!

Do you love to sing or showcase your musical skills! Come join in the fun! Come and play for our residents who enjoy clapping and singing along to all ranges of music, no professional status needed, we are just seeking a live music experience for our residents at Scone. We welcome a range of musical styles, from classical, jazz, country, rock'n'roll and popular hits from the 1930's onwards.

Bananas, jelly beans, musk sticks and more... What's your all time favourite lolly? Make everyone’s day by pushing a trolley with all kinds of sweet treats around to residents who are living in care at our aged care home in Scone. You’ll bring joy to each of our residents every time you enter the room.

Spread joy! Come and join the team at Hammond Care Scone! HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly people living in an aged care home.

Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team! Calling all 'Green thumbs'! As a HammondCare volunteer in Scone, you'll engage with people living in aged care, pottering in the garden, tending the plants, planting and growing vegetables and watering the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening.

Bring our mascot, Al the Elephant, to life with your energetic and friendly spirit! As "Al" you will always be supported by an assistant throughout the day. (ideally you will come as pair) The mascot and assistant volunteer may elect to share the roles throughout the morning. BOTH ROLES REQUIRE - 18 yrs + and a valid WWCC in the appropriate state location of the event. NO EXCEPTIONS.
