Samford Riding for the Disabled needs a skilled Treasurer to join our committee ASAP! The Treasurer plays an integral and legal role in the functioning of Samford Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). The Treasurer manages Samford RDA’s finances on behalf of the Committee, including financial reporting, paying/issuing invoices, reimbursing approved expenses, and ensuring grant monies are properly expended. The Treasurer reports monthly to the Management committee.
Volunteers are required to assist the Surfers Paradise SLSC with an initiative that enables the beach at Surfers Paradise to be accessible to people with disabilities. You will be required to set up/ pack up the Mobi-Mat and Mobi-Chair plus additional safety gear. Check in/out individuals and give a safety brief prior to use. Specific training will be required. Saturday/ Public Holiday, 8am - 4 pm ( 4 hour shifts).You will be providing a friendly helping hand and support.
Volunteer Team Leaders are required to assist the Surfers Paradise SLSC with an initiative that enables the beach at Surfers Paradise to be accessible to people with disabilities. You will be the person reporting to the SLSC Beach Captain on weather conditions, confirm bookings for the day, use a walkie talkie to communicate as required. Undertake specific extra training.
