We are looking for volunteer visitors to provide friendship and connection to older people living either in their own homes or in Residential Aged Care. Just by being a friendly visitor, you can bring vibrance and joy to an older person in our community. In this role, you will be introduced to an older person who shares similar interests to you. You will visit them weekly or fortnightly at a time that suits you.

Providing meaningful social support is as simple as a cuppa and a chat. This role aims to support older people who are feeling isolated and lonely. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly people living in their home.
