Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team! Calling all 'Green thumbs'! As a HammondCare volunteer in Scone, you'll engage with people living in aged care, pottering in the garden, tending the plants, planting and growing vegetables and watering the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening.

You will love seeing the smiles you can bring to the faces of our residents as you cycle in the great outdoors. Volunteers are required to take clients on a short ride on our trishaw bikes. They take 2 people and are not hard to pedal. You'll love this volunteer opportunity to chat and get to know residents.

Do you like meeting people and having a chat? Your friendly nature and ability to engage with people will be highly regarded in this driving role. Transport volunteers are required to take clients who live at home to appointments. Drivers will transport clients to attend appointments, shopping and other activities. The role includes assisting clients from their door into and out of vehicles.

Can you spare some time each week to spend time with someone in our community who may be lonely or socially isolated? Join a team that is passionate about supporting people in the Upper Hunter. Volunteers are needed to help at our Social Club accompanying small groups of members and staff on bus trips and other outings, joining in with art & craft activities, bingo, games, music etc.

Do you enjoy a cuppa and a chat? Want to connect with people in your community? We’re looking for a friendly person who would love to brighten the day of an older lady in Scone who needs some company for weekly or fortnightly social support. Volunteering as a social visitor is a rewarding experience for you and the resident. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.

Brighten the day of our residents by helping them participate in activities. Volunteers are needed to help at our residential centre in Scone with activities, accompanying people in residential care on short walks, sharing interests in music, art, craft, gardening, doing hand massages, painting nails etc.

Do you enjoy having a chat and sharing a cuppa? You might like to visit and befriend a person living in an aged care home. If it suits you both, you could take the resident out or for a walk in the grounds. Spend time sharing interests, listening & talking.
