The Flannel Project

The Flannel Project is a registered charity based in Brisbane, Queensland, dedicated to supporting survivors of veteran suicide through a postvention approach. We aim to provide immediate, personalized assistance and foster community connections for those impacted by suicide. Our key initiative, the SOS Flannel Card, offers survivors tailored support during the critical first four weeks, including access to therapy, GP visits, household assistance, and community engagement. Through this program, we stabilize survivors, guide them through healthy grieving, and empower them to channel their grief into meaningful action. The Flannel Project also hosts Flannel Connect, a peer support group that provides ongoing emotional support through regular events, such as walking groups. Our mission is to raise awareness, build stronger support networks, and advocate for better mental health services for veterans and their families. As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in creating meaningful change and building hope for those in need. Join us and help make a difference in the lives of survivors.
