Volunteer CEO - Charity Organisation
Role Overview: As the Volunteer CEO of The Flannel Project, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and lead a young, rapidly evolving charity. In this role, you will provide visionary leadership, build partnerships, and lead fundraising efforts to expand our reach. We are seeking a dynamic leader who shares our passion for making a difference in the lives of veteran suicide survivors and is excited about the opportunity to help a young organisation grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the overall strategic direction of The Flannel Project, ensuring alignment with our mission and values as a young charity. Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners to secure funding and resources to sustain and grow the organisation. Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, including corporate sponsorships, community events, and grant applications. Oversee the operations and governance of the charity, ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. Inspire and manage a team of passionate volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture within our young organisation. Act as the public face of the charity, representing The Flannel Project in media, events, and public speaking opportunities. Work closely with the board of directors to ensure effective oversight and governance. Qualifications:
Experience in nonprofit leadership or management, ideally within a charity or social impact organisation. Proven success in fundraising, donor relations, and securing sponsorships. A strong understanding of governance and compliance in the charity sector. Passion for mental health, veteran services, and supporting vulnerable communities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to guide a young organisation through growth and development.
