Belconnen Community Service (BCS) is launching Easy P - a pilot program in the ACT to help disadvantaged learner drivers achieve their Provisional driving licence. Easy P will link disadvantaged learner drivers (aged 15-25 years) with up to 10 hours a week of driving mentoring. BCS is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about supporting young people!
Support migrants and refugees to increase their driving hours in preparation for their driving licence. Volunteers can choose how many hours and when (even one hr per week would be terrific).
Any volunteer mechanics who would like to help us fix cars and train disadvantaged people in the skills to maintain a car would be appreciated. We have a car program where our program participants earn the chance to buy a fixed up car so they can undertake meaningful employment in the future.
Assist members in/out of vehicles and walk in/out of home and Club. Ensure use of seat belts. Must be available before and after Club meeting times.
