The Share Shop is a “library of things” — a place for members to borrow useful, infrequently used items like tools, camping gear, cooking, and crafting equipment. We are based in Mulubinba Newcastle. Since opening our doors in 2018, our members and volunteers have harnessed the power of community sharing to empower and enable gentle habits for a healthier world. The Share Shop’s model of collaborative consumption disrupts the status quo and introduces circular economy principles into an everyday context. Sharing, or reusing, and repairing things as much as possible not only saves money but keeps them from landfill for as long as possible. 

This enables people to:

 • Spend less on things they don’t need
 • Save space in the home
 • Cut waste to landfill We encourage sharing, learning, making and doing to promote low-impact, connected living to ultimately help people live more and own less.
