Wollongong VRA is a squad of the VRA Rescue NSW is a completely volunteer squad; we have been serving the community since 1973. The base is located within the joint complex with SES and VRA on 60-90 Montague Street in North Wollongong we are on the left side of the complex. We hold training each Wednesday night from 6:30pm until around 9:30pm. With some activities on weekends for extended training and exercises, equipment maintenance, PR and Fundraising events Our Aims of the squad are to supply trained search and rescue operators to the rescue of trapped casualties and to find lost persons or items in an urban or bushland and Vertical environment.
