Wollongong VRA squad is a part of VRA Rescue NSW VRA Rescue NSW is not a government owned resource, but it is a major partner and follows the standards set by the State Rescue Board.

Wollongong squad is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is a key component in the State-Wide Operational Readiness Deployment “SWORD” program in regional New South Wales, supporting VRA Functions.
