During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

Uniting is seeking a positive and patient applicant to provide social support and accompany Jane on walks at the local beach or on walking paths within the Hastings area. The selected applicant will have the ability and willingness to support and creatively reconnect Jane with her interests and passions including painting and AFL! A shared interest in reading and crime novels would be beneficial.

Your own vehicle will be required to transport Jane* on outings. Valid Victorian drivers license necessary. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.

Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence over the phone, which will enable you to establish rapport and connection with Jane and enable her to stay connected to the community.
