Our service needs an authentic and non-judgemental person looking to gain valuable experience in the social and community services sector, or otherwise seeking purposeful and fulfilling work assisting some of the most disadvantaged members in the community.

A friendly, caring and reliable volunteer is required for this support role in our Emergency Relief program. The program provides assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial crisis. We provide short-term assistance with food, fuel cards, personal hygiene products and utility bills, along with referrals to help people get back on their feet.

As an Interviewer, you will talk with the individual or family about their situation and provide information, financial and material support and referral services in a respectful and compassionate way, operating within the policies and procedures of the program and associated legislative requirements.

Uniting is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. As a ‘child safe’ organisation, employment with Uniting is subject to a satisfactory national (and international where relevant) police check and relevant Working with Children Check in your State prior to commencement of any paid or unpaid work and/or participation in any service or undertaking.

It is a condition of engagement that all eligible workforce in Victoria receive the COVID-19 vaccination and supporting evidence may be requested in order to perform duties at any of Uniting’s workplaces.
