Jane is looking for a sensitive, understanding and social person with a sense of humour to provide social interaction and companionship. She lives in the Hoppers Crossing area. Janes interests include reading, puzzles, sewing and attending seniors activities. The volunteer will support and encourage Jane to creatively reconnect with her interests to achieve her social goals. Time together may include sharing home-based visits as well as outings to have coffee or lunch in the local community. Practical communication skills and confidence to work independently are a must. The volunteer must have their own car to transport the participant. A valid Australian drivers license is necessary. You may need to demonstrate flexibility to potentially share visits in the community with more than one participant.
