Leisure Buddy for older man with disability

Inclusion Melbourne
Logo for Inclusion Melbourne

Have you got a spare hour or two per week or fortnight? Are you friendly and reliable? Please contact us if you would like to build a friendship and spend leisure time with an older man with an intellectual disability who lives in Ivanhoe and enjoys walking, coffee and footy. He also likes action movies, his routine and creating art work with geometric shapes. No special qualifications or previous experience required. The two of you will meet weekly or fortnightly, on weekdays or weekends, to do a fun activity of your choice together. An information session, ongoing support and training are provided. Volunteers must be aged 18 years plus and a 12 month minimum commitment is requested. Professional referee checks & Police Check are conducted before becoming a volunteer. Inclusion Melbourne provides personalised support for adults with an intellectual disability. We believe that people with a disability should be able to live in an inclusive community, supported by people who genuinely care for them, and have the same opportunities to participate in community life.
