Social Support Individual

As a Social Support Individual Volunteer, you'll offer one-on-one outings and companionship to older adults, including activities like coffee, lunch, light shopping, or brief social appointments. Main duties involve friendly interaction, ensuring client comfort, and assisting with mobility. You’ll need a reliable, insured car, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently within guidelines. Training, induction, and ongoing support are provided. Joining Newcastle Meals on Wheels helps reduce social isolation and improve quality of life for clients. Volunteers must complete an NDIS Worker Check and show proof of comprehensive car insurance.
