We are seeking volunteers with sewing skills to help create Memory Bears for families as a treasured keepsake. Using clothing provided by patients, volunteers will sew bears that capture special memories and provide comfort to loved ones. All materials such as stuffing, eyes, and noses will be supplied - volunteers only need to have sewing skills, a sewing machine and creativity. This role is perfect for individuals or sewing groups who would like to contribute their time and talent to a meaningful project.

By making Memory Bears, you will help families hold onto something tangible and deeply personal.

Key Responsibilities Sew Memory Bears using clothing provided by patients. Incorporate supplied materials (stuffing, eyes and noses) into each bear. Ensure each bear is made with care, respect and attention to detail, noting no 2 bears are the same. Work independently or as part of a sewing group. Communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator regarding completed bears and any support needed.

Time Commitment Flexible - volunteer can work at home or in a group setting. Each bear may take several hours, depending on complexity.

Skills & Attributes Competence in sewing and basic craft skills. Attention to detail and creativity. Sensitivity to the emotional significance of the clothing and keepsake. Reliability and ability to meet agreed timelines.
