Frontline Team Leader - Inner Sydney
At 4 Voices, we walk alongside women facing domestic violence, homelessness and social isolation. Our volunteers help them reconnect to safety, dignity and hope, one genuine conversation at a time. We deliver our frontline services from solar-powered connection hub vans equipped with technology, laptops, printers/scanners/copiers, WiFi, music and coffee/tea making facilities.
As a Frontline Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming space where every woman feels seen and heard, while guiding and supporting a team of Frontline Volunteers. You’ll ensure each shift runs smoothly and safely by coordinating resources, maintaining communication through Better Impact, and upholding organisational procedures. You’ll also help volunteers feel confident and supported through coaching, debriefing and encouragement, building a strong and compassionate team culture. You’ll gain access to professional development opportunities in mental health first aid, suicide awareness training and trauma-informed care.
What we’re looking for:
- Lead, support and coach a team of Frontline Volunteers to ensure they feel confident, prepared and aligned with 4 Voices’ mission, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Oversee shift operations, including confirming staffing levels through Better Impact, coordinating resources, conducting end-of-shift debriefs, and ensuring operational and safety procedures are followed.
- Monitor volunteer wellbeing, provide guidance and support, and refer individuals for additional assistance when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including shift reports and incident Reports in accordance with policies and procedures, to uphold service quality, safety and accountability.
- Identify training and resourcing needs, reinforce organisational expectations, policies and best-practice standards, and communicate effectively with your team to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Participate in Team Leader meetings and events, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and arrange a substitute Team Leader when unavailable for a shift, keeping the Frontline Leader informed.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Empathetic, open-minded and able to meet people where they are.
- Confident leading, supporting and motivating a team.
- Organised, reliable and able to uphold 4 Voices procedures and safety standards.
- Able to commit to volunteering 3–4 hours a week or fortnight, to ensure our service remains consistent and dependable.
You must be eligible to hold a valid Working With Children Check for this role.
