WHS Practitioner
4 Voices is a charity helping women facing domestic violence, homelessness and loneliness. On the street, on the phone, and online — we connect them to safety, support and a way forward. Our volunteers offer real help, real hope, and a reason to believe change is possible.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The WHS Practitioner supports the WHS Lead in maintaining and improving workplace health and safety at 4 Voices for both paid employees (5+) and the volunteer network (600+). This role assists with the practical coordination of WHS activities across the volunteer network, including risk assessment, safety communication, safety system implementation and incident follow-up. The position is ideal for someone with an interest in safety, or risk management who enjoys practical implementation and continuous improvement.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a 4 Voices WHS practitioner, you are responsible for:
- Supporting implementation of WHS Management Systems.
- Supporting the WHS Lead in preparing and distributing WHS information, including updated procedures, hazard alerts, or safety bulletins.
- Supporting consultation processes by gathering feedback from volunteers about safety issues and communicating these to the WHS Lead.
- Assisting with incident management and reporting.
