Student Placement Coordinator
4 Voices’ mission is to support women who are or may be at risk of social isolation, family and domestic violence, or homelessness. We help women reconnect by providing social, digital, community, and employment support, especially for those facing barriers such as fear, shame, low English, or limited access to technology.
ROLE PURPOSE
As a student placement coordinator, your role will be to
- Support the volunteers who are undertaking their student placements at 4 Voices in your region,
- Facilitate their student placements with the operations team,
- Liaise with university/training institutes/tertiary education institutions to ensure the students are meeting the requirements of their placements.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As the student placement coordinator, you are responsible for:
- Holding interviews with prospective student placement volunteers and approving/rejecting candidates for placement
- Facilitating students' onboarding and offboarding at 4 Voices
- Liaising with the Student Program Lead / Placement Coordinators regarding assessment requirements for students
KEY SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students, universities, and team members
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with education providers
- Strong organisational skills to manage student placements and processes
- Confidence in mentoring and supporting students throughout their journey
- Problem-solving skills to handle challenges with professionalism
- A collaborative approach to working with the operations team and coordinators
