We are seeking a seasoned journalist to work with our media partner to produce well-researched, editorially sound long-form features and opinion pieces on topics relevant to the Indian diaspora and broader multicultural Australia.

What You’ll Do: Write in-depth feature articles per month (topics vary: culture, politics, migration, business, identity)

Pitch original story ideas or take editorial briefs from the editor

Conduct interviews with thought leaders, migrants, policy experts, and community voices

Ensure accuracy, balance, and contextual depth in every piece Collaborate with editorial and design team for layout and visuals

Attend PR Events, Launches and Exclusive Media invitations to Events

Ideal Candidate:

4+ years of journalism or editorial experience (preferably with lifestyle, current affairs, or ethnic media)

Exceptional research, interviewing, and writing skills

Comfortable writing 800–1,200-word stories with a defined editorial angle

Existing interest or lived connection to Indian/South Asian communities (preferred)

Proven ability to meet deadlines and produce publication-ready copy
