Volunteer Foodbank Driver – Because Kindness Doesn’t Deliver Itself!

Got a driver’s license and a heart of gold? Join Uniting as a Foodbank Driver and help get food where it’s needed most – into the hands (and tummies) of people seeking asylum in our local community.
We're looking for someone who: • Can safely handle a van (we provide the wheels!) • Enjoys a good road trip to Yarraville and Heidelberg (playlist optional) • Can lift a few boxes, wave to friendly donors, and bring the goods back to our Foodbank • Will help us keep the foodbank area stocked, tidy, and looking schmick You’ll be part of a passionate team doing big things in the community – and yes, there may be snacks involved.
The gig involves: • Picking up food orders and returning with goodies • Keeping our shelves happy and our crates clean • Chatting with staff and maybe even a grateful client or two • Being the hero behind the scenes (cape not provided, but enthusiasm welcome)
What’s in it for you? Besides changing lives? You'll gain new skills, new mates, and that fuzzy "I did something awesome today" feeling.
A few non-negotiables: • Full Victorian driver’s license ✔️ • Working With Children Check (we’ll help you get it if you don’t have one) • National Police Check • A good sense of direction (GPS helps too) • Monday or Tuesday availability
