As a Board Director, you’ll contribute your unique expertise to shape MCF’s strategy and amplify its impact. This role is perfect for leaders who want to focus on one or more key areas while collaborating with a passionate team to drive results. Location Ideally you come from the Greater Cairns region, but we welcome applications from all over Australia.

Key Responsibilities

You can specialise in one or more of the following:

• Governance & Risk Oversight: Strengthen financial, legal, and compliance frameworks to ensure sustainable growth.
• Strategic Partnerships: Identify and secure collaborations with businesses, institutions, and community groups.
• Fundraising & Resource Development: Drive initiatives to expand funding and resources.
• Community Advocacy: Represent MCF’s mission to stakeholders and amplify our impact.

We Are Looking For People With

Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Governance, finance, or risk management
• Partnership development, fundraising, or business strategy
• Community engagement or advocacy (especially with Indigenous communities)
• Nonprofit leadership or scaling social impact initiatives A proactive mindset – you’re driven to solve problems, seize opportunities, and deliver tangible outcomes.
