Job position: Business Coordinator
Night Parrot Press is a small, not-for-profit literary publisher in Boorloo/Perth run by volunteers. We rely on grants and sponsorships to enable us to produce high-quality books by WA writers. We are seeking a business coordinator to become an integral part of our small team and to assist us with day-to-day administration duties. The role would suit an experienced administrator with an appreciation for literature and the arts who is willing to donate time and be a dynamic member of a respected organisation and vibrant literary community.

Knowledge and proficiency in:
- creating budgets and spreadsheets
- Xero, Excel and Word
- sponsorship and grant writing (preferred, but not essential)
Additional duties of the role:
- direct general enquiries
- bookkeeping
- update website
- maintain newsletter contacts
- assist with postage of online orders
- assist at events and launches
- promote school and community workshops
Social impact:
- contribute talents and skills to a dynamic but under-resourced WA literary community
- advocate for emerging and diverse storytellers across metro and regional WA
- assist in creating publication opportunities for new, emerging and established writers in WA
The role would require approximately 10 hours per week, with a willingness for the candidate to be flexible to meet varying deadlines. We see this as a long-term commitment for the right person, with the possibility of a funded position in the future.
Please note that this is a remote/work-from-home position. The candidate should live in the Perth metro area however as occasional in-person meetings or appearances at events may be required.
