About the Grad Girls Program The Grad Girls Program is a flagship initiative of Women 4 STEM, designed to inspire and empower female students to explore careers in IT and STEM. The program features engaging workshops, interactive trade shows, panel discussions, and webinars, culminating in impactful events. Over the course of nine months, the program provides opportunities for young women to connect with STEM professionals, gain hands-on experience, and envision themselves in STEM fields.
Role Overview As the Program Lead for Grad Girls, you will oversee the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the program, managing a team of 25–30 individuals. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including sponsors, venue and catering partners, organizations, and students, to deliver a seamless and impactful program. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM. Team Leadership: • Manage and lead a diverse team of 25–30 individuals, supporting the program lead including: o Event Coordinator o Sponsor Liaison (and 2IC to Event Coordinator) o Student Liaison (responsible for ensuring student participation) o Event Volunteers for Venue Set-Up and Event Support o Webinar Event Coordinator (including sponsor liaison tasks) o Event Photographer and Videographer • Provide mentorship, guidance, and clear direction to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. • Conduct regular check-ins, meetings, and progress reviews to ensure all team members meet their objectives and deadlines.
Program Coordination: • Develop and oversee the program timeline, ensuring all milestones are achieved within the nine-month duration. • Liaise directly with sponsors, securing their involvement and ensuring alignment with program goals. • Coordinate with venues and catering partners to secure event spaces and manage logistics. • Build relationships with schools, organizations, and students to maximize participation and engagement. • Oversee the organization and delivery of program webinars, workshops, and major events. • Ensure that all elements of the program align with Women 4 STEM’s mission and branding.
Communication and Reporting: • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, venues, catering partners, and other stakeholders. • Communicate effectively with students and schools, ensuring a high level of engagement throughout the program. • Provide regular updates to the COO and Women 4 STEM leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions. • Work closely with Head of Marketing to make sure all campaigns and communications are ready and live on time. • Prepare post-program reports to evaluate impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
