We're on the lookout for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our sailing crew and capture our amazing programs designed for young people living with disabilities or experiencing disadvantage.

No need to be a seasoned sailor (though it’s a bonus!). All you need is a heart full of compassion and a desire to help young people reach their full potential through the joy of sailing. Joining Making Waves means becoming part of something extraordinary, helping our clients enjoy a unique experience that brings out the best in everyone involved.

Program Highlights: 🌟 Flexible Schedule: Our programs run every day of the week during school terms. Each session is 3 hours long, and we can fit your availability whether you prefer morning or afternoon sails.

✅ Volunteer Requirements:

Hold or obtain a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card). It's free and we'll guide you through the process.

Be available on weekdays during school term time.

Be committed and empathetic.

Follow procedures to ensure everyone’s safety and fun.

Important Info: We ask volunteers to contribute a $55 fee, which covers the cost of volunteer insurance, a branded uniform, and administration. By contributing this fee, you're helping us continue to provide our services free of charge to all participants. We understand this may be a financial commitment, so we offer scholarships and fundraising opportunities for those in need.
