This role is key to the Queensland Conservation Council's (QCC) community engagement work. This person takes responsibility to organise key events that contribute to QCCs Climate campaigns and community organising program as agreed with QCC staff. You will work closely with QCC staff and volunteers.

With the support of paid staff, the Event Coordinator will undertake tasks such as:

• Research opportunities for events including stall, film nights and other community events that contribute to our community organising or climate campaign work
• Organising the logistics of events including booking and liaising with venues and speakers
• Coordination of volunteers on the day to support the smooth running of events
• Development of a promotion plan for the event
• Undertaking logistics for events on the day
• Administrative support as required
• Calling or texting volunteers to confirm attendance
