Aged Care Volunteer Visitor – Come and join us! (Craigieburn)

Inclusion Melbourne
Logo for Inclusion Melbourne

Inclusion Melbourne is an auspice in the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS); a national program funded by the Australian Government that aims to enrich the quality of life of older people and enhance their social connectedness.

Currently we have a female client in Craigieburn who is interested in short walks with her cute dog, going out for coffee, chatting & visiting the local shops. Our client would enjoy the company of a caring, reliable and empathetic volunteer with good communication skills and an ability to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits (weekends or during the week as she is flexible).

Our Volunteer Coordinator will spend time with you to understand your interests and background, and they’ll work to match you with a client in a suburb nearby who may share these similar interests.

Your impact: Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits on a fortnightly basis for a minimum of 12 months are required. Visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy and happiness to the recipient you are matched with.

Come and join us! For more information about volunteering as an Aged Care Volunteer Visitor, click the apply button below and a friendly Volunteer Coordinator will call you.
