Treasurer and Membership Officer- Delegate -Volunteer- Expressions of Interest.

Amalgamated Prospectors and Leaseholders Assn of WA Inc.

The potential Candidate will be joining the team of around 12 Delegates, in July 24, we meet at least 4 times a year Online on MS Teams and correspond by email. As a State Delegate you will also be liaising with members and Branch Presidents. APLA is looking for a Volunteer Treasurer-Membership Officer who would become a Delegate to join our passionate team of 12.

  1. As a financial Member of our Assn we would have you nominated into the position.
  2. Procedure to onboarding. - the potential candidate would be involved with a Team of 12 Delegates who are nominated and elected at the July 24 General Branch Meeting as a Delegate. From all the 12 Delegates the Treasurer position is then nominated and elected as an Officer of the Association i.e..: Treasurer- Membership Officer by the Delegates approximately a week later at an MS Teams Delegate Committee Meeting this is then ratified at the State AGM.
  3. Financial Reports:- Income and Expenditure (P & L) Balance Sheet Reports - Budget.
  4. Skills for Financial Reporting;- Sound understanding of accounting- Bank Reconciliation's, Saasu Reports.
  5. Membership Statistical Reporting using. Micro Soft Access Data Stats exported into spreadsheets. Macros are run to facilitate this. Good or demonstrated knowledge on spreadsheets. Some training is available for this.
  6. Data Entry from an Integrated CMS Management System. Working with the Webmaster with any issues and the Website Developer. Some Training is available for this. The payments from Members are processed this way.
  7. Being across and reading up on the APLA Constitution and By-Laws for information about Treasurer and Membership. This could be done over the first 3 months.
  8. the Candidate would be required to Sign a Stat Declaration for S42 S43 of the Incorporated Assn's Act.
  9. Help attend membership drives to onboard new members by locally attending Open Days and Field Days, via email campaigns, FB social media. Once a year attend the Beginners Camp.
  10. Being computer literate and an accounting back ground is an advantage

  14. The opportunity to work with a friendly experienced group of individuals who share their experiences with you.
  15. An honorarium is offered to the right candidate and other details can be discussed should you apply.
  16. Then once accepted on July 24 you would undergo, if necessary, training from the current Treasurer/ Membership Officer in the 3 months leading up to the state AGM held in late September. You would take your place at the Delegate Team's table. The outgoing Treasurer would present their report on behalf of the Assn. .
