About the role
Inclusee aims to reduce isolation and loneliness for older Australians, through the power of technology.
We are recruiting a Greek speaking female volunteer to join our Connect2One program and provide social connection and companionship through weekly digital visits.
Our Participant is looking for a female volunteer who can speak fluent Greek. Ideally, our female Participant would like a volunteer who shares similar interests such as the beach, crocheting, gardening, baking, watching TV game shows and watching older Greek movies. Our Participant describes herself as witty with a cheeky sense-of-humour.
If you do not speak Greek/meet the criteria, check out our other roles via our website or Volunteering Queensland.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in weekly 1-hour digital visits with your matched Participant.
- Chat with your Participant, listen to their stories and provide social connection.
- Logging shifts in Polixen app and completing monthly support check-in email (or call).
- Working in a safe manner and reporting any incidents or concerns.
- Reviewing/responding to emails/calls in a timely manner.
- Completing online training, where required and attending recognition events, as required.
- Abiding by the organisation's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
We aim to complete the onboarding process in less than 7 days.
