The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation is holding it's inaugural Gala Dinner on Saturday 23 March 2024.

Following the success of our Skin Check Truck that hit the road in 2023, we are working hard to get #2 on the road and all funds raised on the night will go towards a second Skin Check Truck hitting the road to help raise awareness of skin cancer and allow those in rural areas the chance to have their skin checked.

It is guaranteed to be an amazing night with Deborah Knight as MC, the launch of a book, Melanoma 28 and live entertainment by Birds of Tokyo!!

We have an amazing committee of volunteers organising the gala and we are looking for some awesome volunteers to assist on the night!

Australian Skin Cancer Foundation started December 2021. All of us at ASCF are and have been affected by cancer. All of us are doing all we can to eradicate this horrible disease.

It’s our promise to our mates who have passed away from this horrible disease and to all the families who have lost loved ones and continue to suffer, that we will not stop.

Our drive to start the foundation was because of the lack of support for patients across Australia. They needed a voice and we wanted to be it! Australia is #1, along with New Zealand, for melanoma diagnosis, and yet the most popular thing to do on a hot summer day is to get a tan. We knew we needed to change this culture and we decided to do it with our 4 pillars – Advocacy, Education, Research and Support.

Do not underestimate the impact that you assisting with this gala is going to have. It is going to be educational, inspiring and fun! You will be playing a vital role in creating awareness, and contributing to raising much needed funds for a truck that is saving lives.

We have a variety of roles that we will need help with on the evening and would love to hear from people who would like to be part of the event so we can talk through in details your skill sets and how you would like to best contribute. We need people to work as ushers, assist with fundraising activities on the night as an example of roles available.
