Pick up a person with disability or aged from their home and drive them to their doctor's or hospital appointment. Assist them into and out of the medical facility and then drive them home again. We take people who live on the Northern Beaches and the appointments are also mainly on the Northern Beaches but occasionally further eg RPA or other hospitals in the city. Good driving skills are required. KADDY Transport is a small charity based in Dee Why. The organisation started just over 40 years ago. It receives no government funding and relies on donations. KADDY has three wheelchair accessible vehicles which are based at the Northern Beaches Council depot at Cromer. Volunteers collect a vehicle from the depot and can park their own car there. Alternatively if the passenger is able to get into a car, the volunteer could provide the transport in their own car if they prefer. Fuel would be reimbursed. KADDY NEEDS YOU! For someone with a disability or limited mobility getting to essential medical appointments can be really difficult.
