Access Sydney Community Transport is a Sydney-based not-for-profit organisation located in Homebush West with a service area reach as far as the Eastern Suburbs. We offer safe, accessible and affordable transport options for seniors and people who may be transport disadvantaged through a number of tailored programs. Our Volunteer Client Assistant roles is to maintain the safety and promote independence and self-esteem of individual clients.

The Volunteer Client Assistants roles and responsibilities will vary according to the needs of clients and the nature of the journey.

Assistance may include:

  • Helping clients from their home and onto the bus
  • Helping clients to their front door with their shopping - when required
  • Assist clients to take shopping out to the Community Transport Vehicle
  • Assist clients to navigate the shopping centre as instructed by the office
  • Provide support to the bus driver as requested
  • Provide assistance with fastening of seat belts as requested

We offer ongoing support and mandatory training and development to ensure you have the skills required to perform the tasks. Our team is fun, professional, diverse and multicultural with over 8 languages spoken.
