Volunteer Skippers & Experienced Sailors – Brisbane (Weekdays)

Making Waves Foundation is seeking experienced sailors and skippers to support our Winds of Joy and Winds of Change programs, delivering inclusive sailing experiences for young people living with disability or experiencing disadvantage.

Programs operate Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during school terms on Moreton Bay. Volunteers work as part of a trained crew to deliver safe, confidence-building sessions with real impact.

This is an on-water role for confident sailors (not a learn-to-sail position). Training, inductions and ongoing support are provided. A Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required (free – we assist).

A $55 volunteer contribution applies (this covers the cost of annual insurance, uniform and admin), with support options available.

Program Highlights: 🌟 Flexible Schedule: Our programs run every day of the week during school terms. Each session is 3 hours long, and we can fit your availability whether you prefer morning or afternoon sails.

• Hold or obtain a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card). It's free and we'll guide you through the process.

• Be available on weekdays during school term time.
