Volunteer Caller Telecross (Home Based) (918)
Hunter Volunteer Centre
Provide daily telephone calls to check on the well-being of people who are at risk of an accident or illness that may go unnoticed, such as falling and being unable to call for help. The calls provide reassurance as well as help to maintain independence. Volunteers provide friendship, support and help improve the person's quality of life. This role is available across the Greater Hunter area.
You will contribute to the well-being of those who are socially isolated and lonely. The program operates throughout the Hunter Region. Calls are made from your home.
Volunteers receive program specific training, as well as ongoing relevant training and support.
