Writer: Fundraising Grants in the mental health space

Horse Aid
Logo for Horse Aid

Horse Aid primarily supports veterans and first responders with mental health challenges. We offer a one day and four day program to help people connect with their emotions to better understand them.

If you Google The Healing by Nick Barkla you can see the trailer of the film which demonstrations the work carried our by Scott Brodie and Horse Aid (we can't include links here).

To carry on our work we need to apply for grants and raise funds through the corporate community.

By helping us you will literally be saving lives - of those who consider suicide - and support both them and their families.

We need someone to research / find suitable grants that we are likely to be successful on and then write the grant applications. We may also find grants and provide them to you, or you are also welcome to source grants yourself.

Ideally you would be an experience grant writer with a successful track record, but we are open to those with great writing skills wishing to explore grant writing.

We also have reports from Dr Mel Baker, on previous attendee feedback which can be used in the submission to demonstrate our work, and can help with providing various pieces of information.

If you'd like to stay onboard and help us with other items it would be great to have someone to join us as an ongoing support. But a once-off is fine too.

Please contact us if you are interested and would like to learn more.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
