Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Simran is a warm and kind lady who enjoys friendly conversations. She is interested in reading, current affairs, gardening and nature. Uniting are seeking a personable and engaging volunteer to support Simran to reconnect with her community.

You will have effective communication skills and an ability to gently support Simran through conversation and short walks. Visits may include sharing a cup of tea and talking about the news, or going on a short walk. Be available on weekday afternoons. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community.
