Social Support Volunteer

Duties:
- Assist with transporting clients to and from program. Max 2-3 clients per car, travel reimbursement provided
- Assist overseeing the daily program activities – (setting up craft, bingo etc)
- Assist with basic food preparation & meal service
- Optional: additional hours providing one on one social support (taking client out to lunch, shopping etc)- travel & meal allowance provided
What you will bring: Social Support Volunteer does not need any specific training or previous experience, but does need:
- To be enthusiastic and committed to the aims and objectives of NMoW
- To be willing and able to provide transport to 2-3 clients to attend program
- To be able to communicate well
- To be reliable, organised and committed
What you can expect from NMoW:
- Be inducted, supported and guided in your role with training where available
- Be treated with respect in the workplace including privacy and confidentiality
- Be able to negotiate your availability (Group support will be Tuesdays, Individual support can be weekdays)
