Hunter Volunteer CentreDraw on your innovation and creativity skills and utilise your knowledge of journalism and social media practices in this exciting role. You'll be able to create and organise Content Calendars, you'll have knowledge of a range of design applications and websites to create engaging content. You'll engage with volunteers and clients across the Hunter and Central Coast to seek out good news stories and promote programs and activities. You'll be organised and a great communicator.
Enhance and gain new skills in social media and journalism. Join a dedicated and friendly team of volunteers and staff who aim to improve the connection of socially isolated elderly people within their community.
You'll receive an induction and ongoing training, supervision and support. You'll need to complete some simple learning modules. A commitment of 12 months or more is desired due to the training received. A National Criminal Check is required prior to commencement and will be arranged and paid for by the organisation. A current Working with Children Check is also required, as well as a current flu vaccination.
