Social Support | Endeavour Hills

During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!
Jerry* enjoys walking, carrying out small chores in the garden, watching rugby, boxing, soccer, AFL (Geelong fan), playing cards, board games, and handyman projects. He describes himself as outgoing, friendly, social and someone who likes to be occupied with a task and a purpose. Jerry* would like to be connected to a patient, chatty volunteer with an interest in sports, going for walks, and playing cards or board games.
Share in social activities and support Jerry* to reconnect with his interests and community. Visits may include going for a walk, playing cards and board games, chatting about sports and possibly engaging in small handyman projects together. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
