We are looking for kind, committed, positive role models in our community who are able to listen and support a young person. The program has been designed to assist the young person to overcome feelings of isolation, disadvantage and disengagement, whilst enhancing their social and emotional wellbeing.

By developing a relationship with a stable and positive adult role model, the young person has an opportunity to develop or improve social skills, self-esteem, and make positive life choices that enable them to maximise their potential.

The program matches young people from the Wimmera Southern Mallee regions (Horsham Rural City, Hindmarsh Shire, Northern Grampians Shire, West Wimmera Shire and Yarriambiack Shire) between the ages of 13-21 years, with suitable adult volunteer mentors.

Uniting is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. As a ‘child safe’ organisation, employment with Uniting is subject to a satisfactory national (and international where relevant) police check and relevant Working with Children Check in your State prior to commencement of any paid or unpaid work and/or participation in any service or undertaking.
