Volunteer with VINNIES!

For some people volunteering with Vinnies is a chance to give something back to the community, to use their skills and experience in ways that make a difference in the lives of people who need their help. For others, it is a chance to learn new skills and to get experience in a supportive environment.

Vinnies at GAWLER are looking for VOLUNTEERS to help out in our Community Shed/Warehouse.

This role would be suited to someone who is physically fit and able to assist with moving furniture or someone who has handyman skills.

This is a great opportunity to meet new friends, experience the joy of helping make a difference to those less fortunate or meet Centrelink placement obligations.

You need to maintain confidence and respect the privacy of those we encounter; and be sensitive to the values of people of other faiths, cultures and lifestyles. You must also be willing to follow Vinnies’ policies and procedures, undertake any training required, and undergo a National Police Check (at no cost to you as a volunteer).

• This role may involve lifting.

** A police clearance will be required prior to starting. Clearances can be organised through Vinnies and will be at no cost to the volunteer.

Driver's licence desirable.
