Assistant to the Convenor

Transition Bondi

Weekly commitment – ideally 6 hours a week Transition Bondi is part of the global Transition Towns network, building local resilience and building community, through environmental projects. Our group is well-established and has been operating since 2009 running educational programs and events guiding people towards taking action to support a healthier planet while building a stronger sense of community.

Role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled manager and overseer to join our team, alongside the Convenor

Responsibilities Work closely with the Convenor on a range of tasks: admin, volunteer management, and program-specific research and liaison Keep the team cohesive and support each Job Role (Social Media, Newsletter, Finances, Garden Co-ordinator, Admin assistants, Program development, Governance, Photographer, Web manager) Manage contact with Transition Australia Liaise with Waverley Council regarding venues and training Network with other local environmental groups

Skills required Proficiency in IT Strong communication and team skills Problem-solving skills and creative thinking ability Ability to work independently and collaboratively A resilient and supportive nature
