Ten Lives Cat Centre As the largest cat centre in Tasmania, we take care of the thousands of cats and kittens every year that pass through the centre annually. In our peak period known as kitten season (Oct-March), we have one cat or kitten surrendered every 30 minutes during intake time. There’s a mountain of jobs to do every day to give them their best chance at finding their forever home. We need active and hardworking volunteers who can donate their time in the mornings and/or afternoons to help feed our kitties and keep their environments clean and comfortable.

The Opportunity We are seeking a fit and energetic person to jump in our "Winkie Mobile" (Automatic Mitsubishi ASX), to help collect donations from our Margate op shop and other locations for storing in our warehouse in New Town. On occasion you will also be our "cat taxi", taking cats and kittens to their Op Shop homes, where they await adoption. The driver role operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (as per the roster). If you like driving and are physically fit (a lot of lifting) - then this could be the role for you.

The Impact It’s hard to emphasise enough how important volunteer contributions are to the centre. Quite simply, the more hands we have, the more cats and kittens we can look after, reducing their number of days in care - helping them to find their forever homes as soon as possible. In addition to the activities at the centre, you are also doing your part in making a huge difference for the community and environment in Tasmania for our unique wildlife and improving the welfare of cats and kittens.
