Anne* lives in Pakenham and has an interest in watching Greek TV, cooking, socialising with family and friends, reading Greek books and going for walks. She'd like to be connected to a volunteer to share walks and visits to local shops and cafes.

The best suited to support Anne will be Greek speaking, positive, motivating, patient and understanding, with an ability to chat on any number of topics. You'll also have the ability to support Anne to achieve her social goals and creatively reconnect her with her interests and passions, including knitting and socialising in her local community.

Practical communication skills and a willingness to share community-based visits are essential. Your own vehicle will be required to transport Anne* on outings. Valid Victorian drivers license necessary. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. This rewarding role will enable you to make a valuable contribution to your community and the social wellbeing of another person. **Please note that during COVID-19 all volunteers will commence their volunteer role over the phone. This will enable you to establish rapport and connection with your client and allow our elderly clients to feel connected to the community. Once restrictions have eased, the team leaders will introduce you to your client and face to face visits will commence.
