Án opportunity to join our passionate team of volunteers assisting vulnerable people through our Emergency Relief program in Tasmania.
Emergency Relief Team Members assist with the packing and distribution of food, initial eligibility interviews, entry of client data, general operations of the program and maintaining the work environment.
We're looking for motivated volunteers to support and improve the lives of vulnerable people in the community. You must communicate effectively, have initiative and regular ongoing availability. Empathy and the ability to build rapport are crucial attributes. Knowledge and understanding of factors impacting on the well-being of individuals, families and communities will be highly regarded.
The Emergency Relief service has sites at Hobart, Cygnet, Glenorchy and Gagebrook.
About the program: The Emergency Relief program supports people experiencing crisis and provides a range of assistance and referral services to address the person's immediate situation.
