Drivers (L2P Program) needed. Driving mentors are matched with young people who do not have access to fully licenced family members, or reliable vehicles for driving. Mentors drive with their learner on a regular basis, to supervise and coach them to ensure they become safe and competent drivers.

Our mentors are required to be open-minded, calm, supportive and reliable, to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for young people learning to drive. Mentors should be a positive adult role model, encouraging safe, lawful and responsible driving.

The L2P Program provides all resources required, including access to both automatic and manual vehicles (available 7 days), fuel cards, e-tags for toll roads, comprehensive vehicle insurance and a provision of professional driving lessons for each learner when they enter the program. Mentors should be available for driving lessons at least once a week to ensure learners have access to regular lessons to build on their driving skills.

Mentors are required to complete an online training module, and attend a one-day VicRoads Volunteer Mentor Driver course before commencing.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
