The role is responsible for the daily cleaning, feeding and care of the animals housed at the Village. The successful candidate will thrive in a team environment and have strong customer service skills. You will have experience in cleaning and general maintenance along with capability in the handling of a range of animals. While working with animals is incredibly rewarding, animal husbandry is not all about playing with animals. Jobs are sometimes dirty, smelly and messy.

This casual position will see the successful candidate doing the following:

all animal husbandry (poultry of all sizes) hygiene routines breeding programs property maintenance (sweeping yards)

Small caravan provided for onsite, live-in applicants...Grey Nomads welcome with their own caravan as well. Electricity, Water, Shower toilets, morning tea and afternoon tea supplied. Caring for the Village Animals 3 month trial, longer stays available on application for onsite, live-in applicants. Suit retired person, Visa Volunteer worker or person on Centrelink. Shops nearby, public transport to Toowoomba.

Although previous experience is preferred it is not necessary. Applicants must be able to demonstrate genuine care and empathy for animals, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
